World Cup Cricket 2015 – England Out, Indian maintain 100% win record!

England were the first team eliminated, they were labelled to progress through to quarter finals, but had been defeated by Bangladesh. Bangladesh put up 275/7 in their 50 overs whilst surprisingly bowling England all out for 260/10. This was the big major upset of the tournament and it is not looking good for the British. India battled Ireland in a game which Ireland were pulling off a strong start whilst opting to bat first. But they crumbled being pegged back by the Indian spinners and the team all being bowled out for 259/10. India in response looked sharp and dominant with their batting as they finished off with 260/2 on the board in just 36/5 overs.

Sri Lanka outplayed Scotland by scoring 363/9 whilst Scotland in return making 215/10. Another big scoring game was with South Africa who put 341/6 on the board with UAE all out for 195/10. It was a fantastic performance even though considering the level of the opposition, South Africa really are a class act and a fantastic team to watch as all round they are playing well and keeping together as a good unit.

New Zealand battled Bangladesh in a hard fought contest Bangladesh made 288/7 with New Zealand scraping through with 3 wickets remaining as they chalked up a scoreboard of 290/7 in 48.5 overs. England bow out of the world cup with a victory against a lower team Afghanistan. England put them in to batting at they managed 111/7 but due to rain England needed a target of 101 runs for victory and they managed that in 18.1 overs with the loss of just 1 wicket finishing on 101/1.

India will be playing Zimbabwe in their next match on March 14th.
