WIZCRAFT magic at CWG Opening Ceremony

Yes! Wizcraft after creating the magical Kingdom of Dreams- An Incredible Indian Experience & the Biggest Bollywood Musical ever, Zangoora- The Gypsy Prince has weaved its magic once again.

At 7 pm India Standard time on the 03rd of October 2010 the standards were raised for the world to witness.

The giant-spaceship like helium filled aerostat rose above the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium to the Rhythms of India leaving everyone awestruck and Facebook went berserk with a “Proud to be Indian” refrain.

The aerostat rose tall as India staged the most incredible opening ceremony in the Commonwealth games history. Culture, tradition and colourful pageantry came together with technical wizardry put together by India’s leading event and brand management company Wizcraft International Entertainment. They showed in an un-relentless way that India has the ability to compete with others on an international platform, rarely has such an opening ceremony shown as much creativity as was displayed by Wizcraft and those who teamed up with them for the opening ceremony.

The moving cascade of dancers swaying beautifully, creating “Namaste” only to be followed by the creation of the national tricolor. And the colourful pageantry of India presented alongside the creation of the mehndi-coloured hands – painted live on a grand scale, never seen before.

The technical wizardry that seamlessly highlighted India’s heritage, the tree of knowledge, yoga and the chakras, the great Indian journey and above all else the Mahatma and Ahimsa….left everyone speechless and in raptures.

According to Wizcraft the whole ceremony was rehearsed in speed time due to the monsoon rains that continued to pour in Delhi and thus the inability to rehearse as per the original schedule.

Led by the illustrious Wiz trio, Viraf Sarkari, Andre Timmins and Sabbas Joseph, it took over 120 full-time dedicated Wizcraft employees , over 7000 performers, 200 technicians from India and abroad and a set of international consultants to pull off a spectacular opening ceremony for the largest Commonwealth Games.

Truly Wizcraft’s magic was written all over the opening ceremony: seamless execution, hi-tech wizardry showcasing that fused ideas and technology with delectable choreography, the originality of the event was overwhelming.

After all the criticism leveled against the Commonwealth Games organization, finally India stood tall and breathed in its first moment of CWG pride. The media reports from around the world have been
