Vogue India: Bronze Age

Lisa began modeling at the age of 19 in Australia and moved to India at the age of 21.  She has walked the ramp for Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week, HDIL-India Couture Week, featured in commercials like Hyundai 120, Indigo Nation, Blender’s Pride, and modeling a bikini on the Kingfisher calendar.

The 29-year-old model turned actress debuted in “Aisha” starring Sonam Kapoor and Abhay Deol who played lead roles. She was recently seen playing a small yet memorable role of a sexy single mother Vijay Laxmi who parties hard, sleeps around and swears a lot in “Queen” starring Kangana Ranaut. It was a role that suited the fact that she doesn’t speak Hindi very well. “There were scenes [in Queen] with no dialogue and the instructions were like ‘Now get in the car. You’re both drunk. Do what you do! Go!’ and Kangana’s talking in Hindi and I, of course, genuinely have no idea what she’s saying! So I would imagine what would happen if I were drunk and before I knew it they said they had the shot. I often went back going, ‘Uhhh, I have no idea what we just did!’ It was hilarious.”

Haydon also has another film out this month with Bollywood’s ‘Khiladi’ Akshay Kumar, directed by Abhishek Sharma’s The Shaukeen”, a remake of Basu Chatterjee’s 1982 “Shaukeen.”

Lisa will be seen playing the role of being Akshay Kumar’s girlfriend, followed by three old men – Anupam Kher, Annu Kapoor, and Piyush Mishra who lust after her. “Shaukeen” which released November 7th.

Vogue India have said her secret to life is “she doesn’t care whether she’s sleeping in a suite or a sodding grotto, yet when given a choice she’ll aim big. Couple that with an in-built need to do something healthy and constructive everyday and you have a conqueror”.
