UK AMA 2010 – The Nominees are

The Lebara Mobile UK Asian Music Awards 2010 are just weeks away and the plans for the annual show are coming together at an exciting pace. Public voting for the first phase of the nominations closed on 17th January and the names with the highest votes were passed to the steering group. After careful and painstaking deliberation, the final nominees were announced at a glittering nominations party at Gatecrasher Birmingham.

The event was a first for the UK Asian Music Awards and performers included Mumzy Stranger, Jaz Dhami, Karen David, Kazz Kumar and Panjabi MC. The event was attended by a sold out capacity in excess of 2,000 and was hosted by BBC Asian Network’s Bobby Friction. The public are now invited to vote for their favourites under each category by logging back onto the official website, www.theukama.com
