About Leeds Town Hall

Leeds Town Hall is a Grade 1 listed building and was built by Cuthbert Brodrick after a Competition to build the Town Hall was held in 1852.
The Town Hall was opened by Queen Victoria in 1858 and is home to an impressive 3-manual organ, the largest of its kind in Europe, built by Gray and Davidson.

How To Find Leeds Town Hall

Leeds Town Hall is conveniently located in the centre of Leeds, next to Leeds Central Library and Leeds City Art Gallery. It is a five minute walk from both the rail and bus stations and a 10 minute drive from the M1 and M62 motorways.

The nearest car park to the Town Hall is the 24 hour secure car park in The Light accessible via Great George Street.
We advise patrons traveling by car to leave as much time as possible for parking.

Concert Bus

Consider leaving your car at home if you live in

Leeds International Concert Season runs a coach service between Addingham and Leeds Town Hall for all Saturday night concerts except concerts 8 and 13.
Whether you use the Coach regularly or only occasionally, you are more than welcome to book your seat (by the Thursday of the week of the concert) by phoning Leeds Town Hall Box Office on 0113 224 3801.
Cost: £5 per return journey (£4 from Yeadon, Rawdon and Horsforth), payable on the coach.

Refreshments

The Town Hall has a bar and a coffee bar, both of which are open prior to and during the interval of concerts. Interval drinks can be pre-ordered from the bar.
During the interval, coffee and ice-cream points can be found at various locations around the hall.

Access

A number of free parking spaces are reserved for blue badge-holders at the front of the Town Hall. Access to the Hall is through the doorway at pavement level directly by these spaces. There is a lift to all floors and accessible toilets on the ground and first floors. A number of spaces in the seating area are reserved for wheelchair users.
