The cast of ‘Everywhere + Nowhere’ celebrate in Notting Hill!
Last night, the director, cast and friends of ‘Everywhere+Nowhere’, came together at Notting Hill Arts Club to celebrate the imminent release of the powerful, coming of age film.
The special screening was hosted by BBC Asian Network and BBC Radio 1’s Nihal and the event saw the film’s lead cast James Floyd and Shivani Ghai as well as director Menhaj Huda take part in an intimate Q & A with the audience.
Director, Menhaj Huda comments on the evening: ‘The evening was a great success, it was very heart-warming to see friends, family and media come together to support this film. The film focuses on many taboo issues which are extremely relevant for today’s British Asian youth and I hope the British youth can relate to the topics we have tackled in this film’.
The audience were also treated to the first live performance of the title track ‘Everywhere+Nowhere’ by British Asian singer/songwriter Sonna Rele and UK rapper Fearless. The hard-hitting urban track perfectly captures the edge and grit of the movie with its catchy hook and up-tempo beat.
Commenting on the collaboration, Sonna says: ‘I think the film is great and working with the director Menhaj Huda on the soundtrack has been a pleasure. Fearless is a real talent who is one to look out for this year and we had a lot of fun in the studio making the title song’.
‘Everywhere+Nowhere’ releases in cinemas TOMORROW!
