Rifco Arts search for acts for new talent show – The Space (BBC & Arts Council)

Rifco Arts and Watford Palace Theatre, the team that brought you the groundbreaking award-winning musical Britain’s Got Bhangra, are searching for talent for their new project, which will give emerging talented British Asian acts a chance to showcase their skills to the nation via a new and innovative digital platform.

'MummyJi presents' will be a four episode talent show interspersed with light-hearted entertainment in true Rifco Arts style. The show will be shown on the new pop up channel The Space, a collaboration between the BBC and the Arts Council of England. Viewers will be able to watch via the BBC interactive red buttion service, i-player and online via The Space website from July 2012. Each episode will feature four different British Asian acts and at the end of each episode the audience at home will be able to vote for their favourite act using the interactive service. The winners will then feature in a  show which will be streamed live from Watford Palace Theatre in October.

Rifco Arts are holding audition days this May around the country to find talent of all kinds and all ages to feature on the show. Singing, dancing, magic or doing sports tricks, whatever it is, Rifco Arts are encouraging British Asians to get intouch with their creative sides and reveal their talents to the nation.
