JP is a versatile Punjabi and Hindi singer adopting many styles of music. JP starting singing at a very early age whilst growing up in the Northern region of Punjab.
JP's first chance to show the world of his ability and talent was firstly in high school when he involved himself in a drama club. Being a member of the schools drama club this worked to his advantage as he was putting on stage performances in and out of his town. People quickly took a liking to his voice and he became known around his area as the 'Nightingale of Punjab'.
Having then settled in the UK with his family JP was rapidly enhancing his vocals performing on radio and stage shows with a range of classical singing and traditional folk singing including the new style of bhangra which was developing in the 1980's whilst maintaining a separate career and raising a family.
During that time JP has developed an extensive catalogue of songs all self written and composed with production taken on by his singer songwriter daughter Suman and tabla and dolki expertise offered by his son Pawan who is a classically trained musician.
