Lucknow Central is the story of Kishen Mohan Girhotra, a young man from Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh. One fateful day he is accused of murder and ends up in Lucknow Central Jail, awaiting his High Court trial for the dealth penalty.

Meanwhile a diligent NGO worker, Gayatri Kashyap is compelled to form a Band of Prisoners to enter the dreaded ‘Lucknow Central’ band competition that year when paths cross with Kishen.

Kishen befriends four other inmates, Dikkat, Victor, Purushottam and Parminder and convinces them to join the band.

The dramatic narative of Lucknow Central portrays how Kishen’s life progresses in jail, how music becomes an intricate part of not only his own journey but the rest of the band’s as well.
