Popsy

He is that special breed of musician and producer who brings sensitivity and credibility to his work

Whatever genre of Punjabi music he is working in, he takes a bit of musical essence from his mentor Sukhshinder Shinda (Gal Sun Ja) and pushes the beat in his own unique style. The result can be heard on his third solo album titled simply as ‘Bangin!’Whatever is called for, Popsy prides him self on delivering the perfect rendition for the artist. ‘Bangin!’ which has been produced, arranged and co-written by the man, was masterminded at his own ‘Future Shock Studios’ in Bedford and the ‘Hush’ studios and features the debut of 15-year old dhol player (Harry) Harpreet Nandha. Popsy’s has already released two self-produced solo recordings – "Heavy Duty" and "Larger Than Life" with his production credits including the vocal talents of such names as Kuldip Manak, Lehmber Hussanpuri, Shin (D.C.S.), Ranjit Mani and Balkar Sidhu. With ‘Bangin!’ Popsy, an innovator and conceptualist from day one, aims to strengthen the musical foundation of the Bhangra movement in the UK and take his musical story one step further
