Panjaban - Panjabi MC Ft AVION VIDEO REMIX

PHENOMENAL RESPONSE TO THE NEW PANJABI MC ALBUM

Later on Panjabi MC continued his slamming spree in India across the north zone – a place that is home to scores of diehard UK Bhangra fans. The response came in as no surprise for the much anticipated album by Panjabi MC after he’s fabulous global dance hit ‘Mundiyan To Bach Ke’ way back in 2003 when the song rocked the charts in UK, Italy, Germany & US.

On his just completed Mumbai – Delhi – Chandigarh – Jallundar tour, Panjabi MC played gigs to packed houses and received a massive response from the media both print and electronic. He was lapped up by all major channels including Channel [V], MH1, ETC Punjabi, Zee Punjabi, PTC Punjabi and Music India so watch out for some very interesting tête-à-têtes that will be relayed through the next few weeks.
The highlight being a special guest appearance by Panjabi MC for the grand finale of ‘Karmayudh’ – a ‘war of the stars’ kind of concept show on popular Punjabi music channel MH1. The lead video ‘Snake Charmer’ has received a tremendous response as is evident from the high rotation across the music channels.
This video will see a follow-up second video ‘Panjaban’ that also promises to be a smasher. Incidentally ‘Panjaban’ has been shot entirely in Chandigarh by acclaimed director Navraj Raja.
Rajat Kakar, MD, Universal Music India says, “We are very excited with the response the Panjabi MC album – Indian Timing, has received in the market, debuting straight at #1 position at Retail Charts!
We believe that a good album with out-of-the-Box promotions and Marketing support can still garner volumes. We are committed to the Punjab Market and hope to sign and release more artistes backed with local and National Marketing campaigns”.
Thus with a sound that undeniably remains as global Bhangra and the bass lines that are groovier as ever ‘Panjabi MC style’;
India is happily sticking to his ‘Indian Timing’.

"The promo tour has been fantastic, the response from India has been very positive and has inspired me back into the lab to create some more anthems.  Going back to Panjab to promote the album has been a buzz for me because that is where it all started".  Panjabi MC
