Paul Chowdhry will perform two rare one-off full-length shows at Leicester Square Theatre;

The living legend and revolutionary underground comedian will be performing two rare one-off full-length shows at the Leicester Square Theatre. He has distinguished himself over the past few years as one of the most talented and popular comedians to have recently emerged.

Brand new material and unscripted improvisation, which has become somewhat of a trademark for this man, will add to this electrifying and highly charged performance.

Paul is regarded as the outspoken nemesis of wholesome, traditional Asian comics.

Chowdhry sells out venues well in advance. We recommend you book early to avoid disappointment to spend an evening with this brutally honest international acclaimed comedian.

In these one off shows at The Leicester Square Theatre Paul Chowdhry will talk about how we misunderstand each other on a daily basis. Frequently, we say one thing and mean another. This is an autobiographical show – his most personal show to date.

We all have to censor ourselves on a daily basis, using carefully considered or watered down words and behaviours to mask our true thoughts. Often, we do this to avoid socially awkward moments. Sometimes, however, either because our guards come down – or perhaps because we've stopped caring about the rules – the mask is dropped, letting that inner voice out.

When Paul questioned how and why he does this, the show came about. For example, why does he go to Chinese restaurants and order in the same accent as the waiter? He thinks it makes their job easier but the friends he goes along with consider it offensive and stop eating out with him. Similarly, why can he get away with putting on an Indian accent, whilst when a white person does the same it’s considered racist? These are some of the absurdities this show will tackle.
