My Name is Khan, directed by Karan Johar and starring Bollywood superstars Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol Devgan, was released in cinemas across the UK on February 12th by Twentieth Century Fox.
It is the biggest ever opening Bollywood film at the UK box office, grossing £936,000 in its 4 day opening weekend. The film surpasses the previous record of £749,000 set by Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna, which was also directed by Karan Johar and starred Shah Rukh Khan.
In My Name is Khan, Shah Rukh Khan stars as Rizvan Khan, an unconventional hero who embarks on an incredible journey across America in order to win back the love of his life. Along the way his unique brand of goodness and humanity touches the lives of many and inspires a nation.
