fShe began to train vocally, take dance classes, and took part in musical theater. K quickly caught the attention of the right people and began working in theater productions and as a dancer in a number of popular Bollywood films all the while being in Canada. Knowing she had much more to accomplish, K decided to take off to pursue her many talents and headed to southern California and after finally residing in Los Angeles she engrossed herself in the world of dance, acting and started to make her way.
K first began dancing for artists, doing tours, music videos and stage shows working with some of the biggest names in the industry including Snoop Dogg, Justin Timberlake, Jennifer Lopez, Robin Thicke, and Shakira, to name a few. In the meanwhile she also pursued acting and started booking commercials, and small feature films. She also got involved working as an online and tv personality for South Asian networks, hosting for ImaginAsian TV, Desi You, AVS TV, Zee TV and Desi Hits. K also works as a professional model, gracing the pages of magazines, runways of fashion shows, and adverttisment doing print work..
K also lived in New York City for a year where she was introduced to the world of music and was soon sought out to become her very own artist because of her experiences and knowledge of the music and dance industry. She ran into a London born British producer by the name of J2 on a flight back to LA in 2009. He was looking for a girl of K's type to become his main artist, and they hit it off instantly. Feeling a bit reluctant, she actually decided to take up the opportunity, and decided to have a listen to his music.
The UK native, international DJ and re-mixer J2 (also known as Dj 2am) said when he first met K, he knew that she was the one when it came to his search for a new female indian pop artist. He gave her the freedom to create ideas and pushed her to write all of her own lyrics. In turn, she fell in love with the concept of the project and his sound and knew that with her ideas, writing capabilities, dance background, and style alongside J2's genius melodies and beats it would be pure magic in the studio. And it definitely was. The chemistry was right and the energy was magnetic the minute she walked into the studio.
His sound fit her vibe and her vibe fit his sound and basically they began to work together and created a unique sound of her own. The creation became magic with transcending beats, catchy melodies, and lyrics with a story. The music is urban pop, with elements of dance and electronic beats.
