Sikhs worldwide are fully united over Bhai Gurbaksh Singh Khalsa month long hunger strike, with main stream actors, artists, performers & entertainers giving their full support to Bhai Gurbaksh Singh Khalsa, who started his hunger strike on November 14th to free Sikh political prisoners who have completed their court mandated sentences.

Interestingly it has been reported that Ragi Jathas who have supported Bhai Gurbaksh Singh Khalsa have been reprimanded by the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee! The SGPC has in the past few decades been operated directly by the Shiromani Akali Dal (Badal). The past two presidents of SGPC – Avtar Makkar and Jagir Caur were as reported in other media websites chosen directly with Badal’s interference.

The Sikh Channel (Sky 840) has been covering the hunger strike fully and reporting on a daily basis via their news channels & also their social media sites that have grown hugely in popularity amongst the on-line Sikh community. The Government of India has thus far been silent on its illegal detention of Sikh Prisoners.

Amongst the prisoners are Lakhvinder Singh, Shamsher Singh and Gurmit Singh, who received life terms in 1995. While Lal Singh, Warayam Singh and Gurdeep Singh, convicted for life under TADA. All six have completed their sentences. There is also list of another over 100 Sikh prisoners who have also completed their terms.

Bhai Gurbaksh Singh Khalsa’s “Vasiyatnama” (Last Will) Reaches Akal Takhat Sahib

Bhai Gurbaksh Singh Khalsa has said that after his demise, his body would be presented to Sri Akal Takhat Sahib. Takhat Sahib would have authority to donate Bhai Gurbaksh Singh’s body parts anywhere. Bhai Gurbaksh Singh has continued to respect Sri Akal Takhat Sahib despite the current appointed Jathedar not expressing full support.
