Dhamaka 2012

Dhamaka 2012 review

Dhamaka 2012 was a night in history with Pakistani rockstar Atif Aslam.

Although Sonu Nigam could not perform in the end due to reasons unknown, "the show had to go on" as the saying goes, and Atif’s performance was extended to please the fans.

After a dynamic opening from Bollyflex dance group, star couple Sunny and Shay from Channel Four's show "The Family" & the BBC Asian Network who were the hosts for the night, got the crowd wild and ready to rock.

Atif started off with the hit song ‘Woh Lamhe’ which had the audience cheering and singing along.

He continued to sing hit after hit, some of which were when he was with his former band "Jal"; Doorie, Tera Hone Laga Hoon, Gulaabi Ankhein, Pehli Nazar, Tere Liye, Tu Jaane Na and Tere Bin.

After sitting down through the first half of the concert, Atif soon had the crowd on their feet; singing and rocking to the music with him.

The night ended with Atif singing ‘Aadat’, the song which instantly became a hit and got Atif his well deserved place in Bollywood.

This song was the high point of the evening and the concert would not have been complete without it.

The crowd were screaming for more by the end of the concert, the atmosphere was buzzing and it was a great night overall!

It's safe to say that Dhamaka 2012 was a overall success & with a near capacity full house.
