Jivan Mann – Miss Coventry 2014

On being asked what her reasons were for competing, Miss Mann simply said:

“Why I would love to win Miss GB, is  to be a perfect role model to this generation. I’m currently working  towards my PHD in
occupational psychology as well as holding down a part time  job & a modeling career, and I want to show that a pageant isn’t just about looks but something with a bit more depth.

I was bullied as a child and I know there are so many young girls  who are going through the exact same thing I was.
I want to show to them that If I can do it anyone can!

And especially being from an Asian background, It would be like following in the steps of Sushmita Sen, Aishwaria Rai Bachchan, Priyanka Chopra who were all Asian & Went onto win Miss Universe & Miss World.  I love being Asian and I love being British!!! We really need to embrace the fact that British Asian have the best of BOTH worlds & cultures.

Yipeee”
