Brit Asia TV Music Awards 2011 “AND THE WINNERS ARE…”
The 1st October 2011 saw the Brit Asia Music Awards take the HMV Apollo by storm, showcasing a glittering awards ceremony complimented by some of the most striking, grand performances witnessed on stage to-date. The stage was set, the cameras were rolling and the rows were filled by masses of applauding public from across the UK.
Hosted by Hardeep Kohli, the Brit Asia Music Awards has marked a turning-point for British Asian music by raising the bar of quality and eminence held by our industry.
The announcement of nominees for each category were met with waves of clapping and cheering as the public showed their support to their favourite acts and the tremendous performances saw the public rising to their feet to dance with their friends, families and fellow Bhangra lovers.
The energetic dance groups portrayed a visual wonder with their skilled routines, filling the stage with colour in their creation of a highly vibrant atmosphere. The stage was graced by the top music artists with their blazing performances and the show was closed with a remarkable finale performance by Jazzy B who was joined by his collaborating partner Sukshinder Shinda.
The Brit Asia Music Awards opened to doors to widely-respected business pioneers and celebrities including Kulvinder Ghir, Mihir Bose, Sarah Jane Crawford and Boy Better Know whilst the press room was buzzing with reporters and photographers snapping up the action and talking to the delighted winners.
