Anurag Kashyap’s Bombay Velvet to premiere at Cannes?

The much awaited Bollywood film, Bombay Velvet directed by Anurag Kashyap might be premiered at the prestigious Cannes Film Festival 2015. Bombay Velvet is based on historian, Gyan Prakash’s book Mumbai Fables. It has Ranbir Kapoor, Anushka Sharma and Karan Johar in the lead roles. Ranbir Kapoor will be seen playing the role of  a street boxer while Anushka Sharma will be playing a Jazz singer and his love interest. This movie will mark the acting debut of producer-director Karan Johar who will be seen playing the role of the primary antagonist. This is also Raveena Tandon’s comeback film after a long gap. She will be seen playing a supporting role along with Kay Kay Menon and Siddharth Basu. Music director of this film is Amit Trivedi.

This film is stated to release around 15th May 2015 and is produced by Phantom Films and Star Fox Studios.
