· UK’s First and Top Bollywood Dance School to Give X-Factor Chill in Bollywood Style!
Following the recent rise in the number of British talent heading East for a taste of the glitz, glamour, stardom and success of Bollywood, the world’s largest film industry, Honey’s Dance Academy (HDA), the UK’s top Bollywood dance school, and Desitara.com, the world’s leading Talent Portal, have partnered to announce the Bollywood Dance Championships 2010, a unique talent contest to discover and launch the career of UK’s next Bollywood superstar and dancer in the making.
The competitors dancing to secure a winning place in the Bollywood Dance Championships 2010 taking place later this year will need to follow the steps by auditioning at the event’s eagerly anticipated X-Factor style audition process – Bollywood Dance Championships 2010 Auditions – which takes place on Saturday 17th April at St Giles Hotel, Central London.
The keen eye of an esteemed panel of judges will be searching out new dance talents that possess the passion, drive and determination to make it as a top Bollywood star. Participants who make the auditions will enter the second stage of the competition – Bollywood Dance Championships 2010 Talent Heats – taking place in May, in London.
Finalists will be selected from age categories: 4-7 years; 8-12 years; 13-17 years; and 18 and over. The lucky overall winner selected at the finals taking place later this year, may be a group or solo performer and will be mentored for worldwide projects from September through to December 2010.
They will receive free, premium service tutelage worth £30,000 from Honey Kalaria herself, who will mentor, support and offer one-to-one consultation to the winner. Honey will personally develop the artist from the level they currently are to their maximum potential and will commence putting them forward for top projects and roles across film, TV and the stage.
Hopefuls who pass the Audition stage and want to perfect their skills ahead of the Talent Heats in May can join one of 13 HDA London Dance Studios where expert dance trainers will provide the necessary training and mentoring to bring participants up to the level required for the competitive Talent Heats.
What’s more, at each stage of the competition, through HDA’s and Desitara.com’s network, exemplary participants will be spotted by talent scouts and recommended for a range of casting opportunities across TV, film and theatre.
With Bollywood ever growing in popularity and now reaching global audiences, the appeal to learn and perform in the Bollywood arts has attracted students from all cultural backgrounds – something HDA and Desitara.com strongly encourage. Open to all skill levels, HDA has taken novice dancers and trained and mentored them to perform on the most glamorous of stage and film sets whilst Desitara.com’s platform has been the crucial conduit in propelling these talents into the global spotlight.
