The thriller, based on two friends Dilpreet Dhillon and Gurjind Mann who set out to Amritsar, the holy abode of Sikhs, in search for the ulterior motive of their life and ask the god to direct them. After seeking the blessings of almighty at the Golden temple, fate rolls the dice and their life undergoes a twist. 

The gripping story is assured to keep cinema goers clenched to their seat until the end, with a strong story line written by Harjit Singh Ricky and Gurjind Maan and powerful cinematography. Once upon a Time in Amritsar is the debut for popular punjabi singer Dilpreet Dhillon who has already established his fanbase worldwide with his singing career. Alongside Dilpreet, Gurjind Mann, Tanvi Nagi, Sonia kaur and senior names like Pavan Malhotra, B.N Sharma and Ashish Duggal.

The soundtrack produced by a variety of music directors from Desi crew, Gurcharan Singh, Gold Boy, Diljit Singh and Pavneet Bigi has a variety of sounds and numbers reflecting the film. Singer Ninja has given his voice to the song Viah, Dilpreet Dhillon and Inder Kaur team up for End Jattiye and Happy Raikoti sings the title song  Munda.

The movie has already had some international interest for its serious story line away from the typical commercial cinema. The film will be distributed to international markets via Cinemadic, CEO Karan Parmar is expecting this film to do well overseas We are very excited to release this film to an international level, it has a strong story line and a great starcast.  I think this film will definitely raise the bar for Punjabi cinema, it’s a well made film for the whole family”.
