Bollywood action hero Akshay Kumar was injured during a stunt on the set of his upcoming movie “SINGH is BLIING”.

The Punjabi actor had been shooting a scene in Punjab for the introductory song “Tung Tung Baje” sung by Diljit Dosanjh and Nooran Sisters. During one particular scene Akshay had to jump through a hoopla hoop that had been set ablaze.

Akshay being such a physical actor has always preferred to perform his own stunts instead of using a body double. Unfortunately on this occasion despite all safety precautions, ended up burning his legs during the stunt.

Everyone on set who had witnessed the accident were pretty shocked and worried for the stars safety. Staff managed to douse the flames quickly but Akshay did sustain several burns but was said to have remained cool and calm and was adamant to continue filming.

Singh is Bliing, an action packed adventure with comedy and drama, is set to release on October 2nd 2015. The movie also stars beautiful British actress and model Amy Jackson who hails from Liverpool, talented and versatile actor Kay Kay Menon and gorgeous Indian actress and Miss Universe Lara Dutta.

Singh is Bliing is directed by actor, choreographer and director Prabhudheva, who was reunited once again with Akshay Kumar after the success of Rowdy Rathore.
